Bridging Generations through Technology and meaningfull connections.
GenConnect is a non-profit organization located in central Florida dedicated to helping seniors feel confident, independent, and connected to today's digital world.
We provide engaging workshops to teach older adults how to use technology with ease-from smartphones and video calls to online safety and everyday digital tools.
Our mission is to bridge generations by connecting seniors with caring volunteers who teach, guide, and support them.
Meet our leaders:
Hi, I'm Raquel Teixeira e Silva, a high school senior and the founder of GenConnect.
Through my parents' work in caregiver services, I saw firsthand how challenging technology can be for many older adults. Simple tasks such as making a video call, sending a message, or accessing important online resources often become frustrating barriers rather than helpful tools.
I founded GenConnect with a simple goal: to help seniors feel confident, connected, and independent in an increasingly digital world. By providing patient guidance and personalized support, we aim to bridge the gap between generations and ensure that no one feels left behind by technology.
I believe technology should bring people together, not increase the gap between generations, and through GenConnect, we're working to make that vision a reality—one connection at a time.
